Are you still looking for a snack that gives you some oomph? Staying power and yummy satisfaction at the same time? I’ve got a fabulous suggestion for you!

First of all, I’m not really a ‘cracker’ person. I’m the type that if I start with one cracker, I get out of control and before I know it, the whole box is gone! Has that ever happened to you? But, I was looking to change up some of my snacks and spotted these incredible crackers at my local grocery store. For snack that afternoon I took 3 out of the box, spread some goat cheese on them and had an OMG moment! It was that good and more than that, three crackers were more than sufficient.
Snacks are just that – snacks and they shouldn’t be really high in fats or calories. I’m not talking about an ooey gooey special occasion indulgence. I’m talking about a regular in between meals snack. As a rule of thumb, snacks should be roughly under 5 grams of fat, around 150/ 160 calories (or less) and bonus is when it contains a few grams of fiber and protein. I advise my clients that if you are eating a snack that for example has 10 grams of fat and over 400 calories, it’s kinda like a eating a meal, so make a better choice!  If you’re just eating snack after snack then chances are you are NOT getting enough staying power from your meals to keep you satisfied.  But, that’s for a whole other discussion.
As always, I’d love to hear from you!
