Do you hit the snooze button one more time, wake up late and just skip breakfast? Or do you just grab a cup of coffee and run out the door?

Maybe you stop at your favorite coffee shop and pick up a coffee and a little ‘treat’?
I used to do that. I was so guilty of grabbing Nutrigrain bars with a cup of coffee and then having it in my car. And then one day, I changed things up. I noticed that when I ate a sugary processed bar for breakfast, not only did I feel sluggish, but my whole day would follow with poor choices.

A bowl of oatmeal changed everything.

I didn’t realize the impact that it would have on me. But that day I made a connection that has stayed with me and has become part of my every day regimen. When you begin your day with a healthy breakfast that includes complex carbs, maybe some protein, a healthy fat, even fresh fruit, you’ll discover that your energy level and day will be so much better.

One of my favorite breakfasts is a piece of toast with avocado and some veggies on the side.
