My kids make fun of me well, almost all the time, but more specifically, when I eat. Apparently when I eat something that I have made I repeatedly say “mmmm this is sooooo good!” And it’s true – I do do that!! Not to everything though, but this Honey Miso Glazed Cod definitely deserves all the praise.
Mmmmmm so delicious! Did I mention that yet? I’ve made it not only for family dinners, but for friends as well. It’s even been requested 🙂 A thumbs up dish for cod lovers! I’m sure the honey miso glaze would work on other white fish as well if cod isn’t your fish of choice.

Honey Miso Glazed Cod
• 1 1/2 pounds fresh cod
• 2 tbs. honey
• 1 1/2 tbs. rice vinegar
• 1/2 tbs. Sriracha sauce or sambal oelek
• 1 tbs. miso paste
• 1 tsp. low sodium tamari
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tsp. grated ginger
• 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, rice vinegar, Sriarcha sauce, miso paste, tamari, garlic, ginger and sesame oil. Put the cod in a big Ziploc baggie with 1/2 the sauce and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to an hour. Set aside the unused sauce for later.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Arrange the cod filets on the baking sheet.
Preheat the broiler to HIGH with a rack placed on the 2nd level below the element. Broil the fish for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the glaze is bubbly and charred in places. Remove from the oven and then turn the oven to 375°F. Brush the remaining glaze over the fish and return to the oven, on the bottom rack, for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of your filets, or until they are opaque and flake easily with a fork.
