Time flies! It’s been 2 years since I started this blog and I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to like and share my page. At that time I had just quit a job that I held dear to me for 7 years and people I knew from there were emailing me and wanting to keep in touch. In fact, it was my son Mark who said that I should have a Facebook page so people would have an easier time to connect with me. Before I could think of a zillion excuses of why not to do this, he signed me up and Shari Creates was born. Who knew that it would grow to 800+ people on this venue!!
My mission was simple – to help inspire people to think outside the box. To give them ideas and show that little things make a huge difference. Whether you’re trying to shed a few pounds or just trying to live a healthier lifestyle, it shouldn’t be complicated or hard to do. It’s not about being on a diet. Yes, I am a nutritionist and coach people to help them reach their goals, but my raison d’etre for this page is to encourage people to be mindful in their choices, to take baby steps when trying to create new habits and to indulge every now and then. Without guilt. When you eat well and a little bit more mindfully, it reflects in a positive way in everything that you do.
So, whether I share a new recipe that’s a healthier choice than store bought goodies or some tidbit of info about things like prepping your snacks, I try to appeal to all of you and share my ideas and ones that have been requested too. I’m thrilled to read the comments that you’ve shared on my page and ones that were sent to me as a private message or via email. And I have to say, although my kids get a kick and laugh (me too!) when they read my mom’s comments, many of you have shared that you enjoy them too:)
So, here’s a toast to another year! To many more recipes that I will be serving to my family (and they will question the ingredients before sampling lol) before I share them with you. Many thanks to my friends who are guinea pigs as well and to all of you, who keep on sharing my page, giving me inspiration for my topics and making requests for certain type of recipes. Thank you for stopping to chat when you see me at the local grocery store or even when you’ve bumped into me at a mall while on vacation. And from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for all for taking the time to read my posts.
Enjoy life, eat well and laugh often.
