Last week while at an outdoor market, I saw this beautiful bouquet of greens. They looked so delicate and fresh, not at all like the baby bok choy that I was used to buying at my local grocery store!

I really was surprised to find out that it was baby bok choy, so I bought it. I was told that you can bake it, saute it, grill it on the bbq or even use it fresh in a salad. I decided to grill it on the bbq and I marinated it beforehand with the sauce below.

The marinade:
1/4 cup tamari, sodium reduced
1 tbs. brown sugar
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tbs. olive oil
1 tbs. rice vinegar

Whisk all the ingredients together. Put the marinade and baby bok choy in a large ziploc baggie and let it sit for at least an hour. When ready, just place it on your hot bbq, discard the excess marinade and grill until it becomes slightly charred, about 4-5 minutes. You can use this marinade to stir fry/ saute it as well.

So yummy and it was a new side dish for my family that was ready in no time! I’m sure that it would taste great as leftovers, but I bet that you won’t have any!
